We left Vieques yesterday, spending last night in San Juan.

I woke this morning… missing my 5 AM wake-up call. The roosters … the song birds… and the hum of the sea.

Embracing Island living… 

Where roosters begin mornings’ glory, and song birds sing their melody.

Where chameleons come for morning coffee,  and cats come over to play.

Where the oceans’ thunder of background waves are mastered by the wind. 

Where heat of the sun controls the day … it, too, gentled by the movement of the wind.

Where wild, beautiful horses roam…  unbridled and are free.

Island living…

I, too, feeling free today.
