….the last day of my 67th year. I ask myself, “how does it make me feel”? I was always a plan ahead girl, but I never planned beyond 65. It seemed so far away in my 20’s, 30’s, even 40’s. I never thought that at this time in my life, my mind would continue its need to search outside of my comfort zone. I thought that as my body aged, my mind would too… asking less of me. So, I am reinventing my purpose. With my finance career in the rear view mirror, I find the other side of my brain is calling… the creative artistic side of me…my sweaters, my writing, my impressionistic art. The beauty of aging… is wisdom. I no longer force myself to make decisions, I allow time and life to make them for me. I am not as anxious as I used to be … no longer critical of my “Me”.
I have developed 3 websites. http://www.myghostinme.com a story of a Chickadee… a donkey … and Me … in search of finding Soul.
…FINDING SOUL…MELODY, FREEDOM AND ME. SHERRY CANTRICK
A PHILOSOPHY OF MIND
…..finding Soul
The family of Soul…
Me: Society’s definition of who I am Soul: My spiritual core Ghost: Emotions of my Soul Melody: Translator of my Soul Freedom: My guardian and best friend Forest of the Naked Slate: A state of mind. In search of love for self
This collection of parables is the result of my life’s journey to meet my Soul. It begins during childhood with two imaginary friends…Melody: a chickadee… and Freedom: a donkey. The parables lead to a journey into the Forest of the Naked Slate. It is here that Me is confronted by society, and its definition of who she is supposed to be. Here… she must fill her Naked Slate. She must choose between society’s definition of who she is, and what her discovery of self… tells her… she must be.
My name is Sherry. I live a nomadic lifestyle in the Great Lakes Region of North America with my husband and our two dogs. I am a creative spirit, an old soul and an Instigator. My introverted tendencies instigate me: creatively…personally…passionately. I actively seek and explore outside of my comfort zone. It defines who I “truly” am. I seek two types of challenge: the opportunity to create “something” from nothing: and the opportunity to look at what is…seeing what could be. I call it creative instigation. I invite you to follow my pursuits as well as share your own. If your introversion instigates you too: to originate, activate, and/or motivate creative form, please share your inspirations. If it is a picture… a story… a poem…post it in my Creative Instigation Guild FB page below: I am searching for creative, positive energy to join my circle. Instigate me.
Believe in yourself… Sherry Cantrick
